Who we are

What we collect and why

Name, email address, organisation, sector, progress, reflections, knowledge-check results, lab work and capstone evidence. We use it to run the course, review your work and issue your results.

AI and your work

Your work and data are not used to train AI models. The lab does not call an AI model in this version. Any later sandbox runs will use synthetic data only and providers that exclude training and retention of inputs.

Personal data in the lab

The lab detects South African ID numbers and will not save them. Phone numbers and email addresses are masked. Use sample data only.

How long we keep it

36 months after your file closes, unless you ask for earlier deletion. Issued results documents are kept so that validity enquiries can be answered.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw consent, by writing to allen@ialeinstitute.org. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Information Regulator.

Validity enquiries

The QR code on a Statement of Results or certificate opens an email to allen@ialeinstitute.org. A person answers each enquiry. There is no automatic reply and no public validity page.

Security

Access is by one-time email link. Files are served through signed, short-lived links. Releases and results are written to an append-only audit log.
